The second day of May was really warm, so I went full on summer with my outfit. This top, made from McCall’s 6436, is much younger than yesterday’s top. The pattern is one of those great ones with cup sizes which they don’t seem to be doing much anymore. I made it in 2018, finishing the hand sewing as we drove across the country to Utah.
IThe jeans are from LL Bean, bought last year after the pandemic weight gain prevented me from squeezing into my old jeans. Hat is Patagonia, new, and flip flops (gifted from parents) are Feelgoodz that are one year old now. Bracelet, gifted by my partner, is by 4Ocean.
I first wore this top on our Utah trip, during the leg when we bunked with our fabulous friend Meg in Chicago. There I wore it with dark grey convertible hiking shorts/pants and boat shoes (so very classy). In 2019 it got paired with navy shorts and flip flops, and I guess I skipped wearing it for MMM ’20, when I chose to focus on sewing instead of wearing. Just like yesterday, I am repeating my styling, except for the hat. I’ve never liked baseball/trucker hats but this one is growing on me!
